About

Travel
Quest, Purpose

Two Years takes you, the reader, along Max's two-year journey around the world. In his Quest for Money, Quest for Purpose, and Quest for Love you will see what he sees, feel what he feels, and grow with him.

Furthermore, the story is accompanied by two spiritual enlightenment processes that will help you to see the world from an entirely new perspective:
1. Re-discovery of the soul (vs. the ego-mind)
2. Everything is energy and frequency at the core

You have to be ready and open for it, though.

The book will serve multiple reader groups:

Those seeking knowledge and ideas about topics still mostly classified as "spirituality", although these have become much more scientifically substantiated over the last decade (e.g., by quantum physics).

You?

Seasoned readers of novels and non-scientific books may find my story rather interesting, and hence, I would love to take them on the journey with me. There is a lot to learn from my mistakes and insights.

You?

About the book

Do you know the feeling of being stuck in your life?
That you have achieved everything the material world has to offer?
And that you are seeking something more meaningful?

Each one of us will have to face that exact feeling at some point in our lifetime. We have lived our lives in conformity with society’s standards and should theoretically be satisfied with what we have or have achieved: Good degrees, a more or less satisfying job, house and car, close circle of friends, and maybe our own family. Yet we feel that something is missing. That we are not whole. We realize that a life dependent on the external world is no longer sufficient; therefore, we need to look for answers elsewhere. The journey inward commences.

While we are born as “pure” creatures without an ego-identity, undisturbed by identification and thought patterns, we usually unlearn this way of living over the decades to come. We follow the accepted norms and let our ego determine how we act, think, and feel. Until we reach the point where we have enough and start longing for more. Each one of us must go our own way to rediscover who or what we truly are; there is no “one size fits all” approach for this (yet). For this, we must temporarily leave rationality, logic, and numbers behind and switch to feeling, trust, and intuition instead. The journey is not always an easy one, but will eventually be worth it. The only way out of fear is through the fear.

We then understand that we are the creators of our own future—that everything is possible. Our own thoughts and emotions play a significant role in how we create and perceive reality. We are more powerful than we think we are, but we have to (re)learn to go beyond our physical bodies, not limited by space and time. Energy and frequency help us to communicate on a level beyond the perceptible, constantly shaping the life we (want to) live. We undeniably live in changing times, with people around the world waking up, longing for something else, something more meaningful and powerful, outside of our traditional way of life.

The exact same thing also happened to me...

About the author

Until my early thirties, I had been a somewhat regular guy. I worked in finance in Frankfurt, Germany, had a girlfriend, and went on with my life without any big issues. I was completely happy in my situation for many years, until one day, the routine of working for long hours and practically only living for the weekends wasn’t enough any longer. I felt an urge to escape the ever-repeating daily patterns of life. I wanted to explore what else was out there in the world. I needed to break free from all responsibility and conventions that had dictated my whole life to that point.

Immediately quitting my job was a step too far for me; I was not ready for it yet. I had to slowly approach what was eventually unavoidable, taking one step at a time. I moved from Frankfurt to London, still employed by the same company. Then I moved to New York, still with the same company. And then it finally happened: I could no longer ignore the screams from inside me. I had to face my fears and quit!

Author

What followed was two years of world travel, significant personal transformation, and rediscovery of what I truly am (what we all are) at the core. A journey full of fears, doubts, and uncertainties, which ultimately made me grow, learn to love, and trust in life. My quest for money, quest for purpose, and quest for love led me to my new guiding principle in life, which I had previously lost: I am supporting people in need around the world, spiritually as well as financially. With this book, I hope to set the foundation for exactly that.

The book has also another unique angle to itand this is the part I am personally most excited about...
